The Voice of a Late Bloomer

 

According to Google, a late bloomer is a person who becomes successful, attractive, or good at something later in life than other people. Late bloomers often have talents that aren't visible to others initially and may fulfill their potential unexpectedly. 

That "may fulfill their potential" line is the thorn in my side. As I write this I am an unemployed 33-year-old black female who has a variety of talents and no undergraduate degree. What is life if I don't unexpectedly fulfill my potential? Can it be beautiful? Can it still be a life that I enjoy... even if my dreams never come to pass? The purpose of this blog is to alleviate suffering for anyone who feels as though they've been left behind. I'll be covering topics on relationships, finances, mental health, and any other topics that seem to be prevalent. I'm probably not qualified to give you advice... but perhaps I can make you laugh, and perhaps I can give you some joy.
